چکیده
The COVID-19 pandemic highlights the need for platform technologies enabling rapid development of vaccines emerging viral diseases. current target SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) protein and thus far have shown tremendous efficacy. However, cold-chain distribution, a prime-boost administration schedule, emergence variants concern (VOCs) call diligence in novel vaccine approaches. We studied 13 peptide epitopes from identified three neutralizing that are highly conserved among VOCs. Monovalent trivalent candidates were formulated by chemical conjugation to cowpea mosaic virus (CPMV) nanoparticles virus-like particles (VLPs) derived bacteriophage Qβ. Efficacy this approach was validated first using soluble as solo or mixtures subcutaneous injection. high thermal stability our allowed formulation into single-dose injectable slow-release polymer implants, manufactured melt extrusion, well microneedle (MN) patches, obtained through casting micromolds, self-administration. Immunization mice yielded titers antibodies against epitope S protein, data confirms block receptor binding neutralize SARS-CoV infection human cells. present nanotechnology is stable outside can be delivery devices single CPMV Qβ VLPs could stockpiled, exchanged new mutants emergent diseases arises.

In the development of subunit vaccines with purified or recombinant antigens for cancer and infectious diseases, the design of improved and safe adjuvants able to efficiently target the antigen presenting cells, such as dendritic cells, represents a crucial challenge. Nanoparticle-based antigen delivery systems have been identified as an innovative strategy to improve the efficacy of subunit va...
متن کاملEthical Issues in COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout
From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers aspired to produce an effective vaccine with appropriate efficacy and low side effects to mitigate the pandemic. It seems that vaccination is the only mean to save the world from this pandemic. In this article, we will review the ethical challenges of mass vaccination (focusing on the vaccine distribution and uptake), referring to the mai...
متن کاملIn silico Analysis of Pasteurella multocida PlpE Protein Epitopes As Novel Subunit Vaccine Candidates
Background: Pasteurella multocida is a Gram-negative, non-motile, non-spore forming, and aerobic/anaerobic cocobacillus known as the causative agent of human and animal diseases. Humans can often be affected by cat scratch or bite, which may lead to soft tissue infections and in rare cases to bacteremia and septicemia. Commercial vaccines against this agent include inactivated, live attenuated,...

Background: Vaccination is preventive behavior, and vaccine literacy and hesitancy appear to influence vaccination. The aim of this study was to determine the role of vaccine literacy and hesitancy on the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 2185 residents over 18 years old in urban and rural health centers in three cities of Dashtestan, Dash...
